Using Patch My PC

Things to know: * As of May 24th, 2022 Xenter Inc only uses InTune features. * PMPC must be running at all times to work; best to install on a VM or physical metal that never turns off.

Introduction Patch My PC is a 3rd-party application used to deploy software and related updates enmass to the entire company at once, by integrating with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and/or Microsoft InTune. Due to the large number of sites, remote workers, number of users, and sheer speed of Xenter’s growth it is not feasible for IT to manage the multitutudes of different software without a centralized platform like PMPC.

The basics

PMPC has a license key that only allows for a single instance to operatate at a time once. This is specifically to prevent redundant instances from clashing and overloading InTune or MECM. * If Xenter actually needs multiple license, contact the PMPC account rep. * Currently: Cindy Soleil - sales@patchmypc.com

The license key will be store in the IT Bitwarden vault * If a new key is provided remember to update the vault
